Last October bridge took place the first Congress of Art, Nature and Landscape. The presentations and communications have been of great scientific quality, also, the place of the meeting has accompanied the days that have taken place in Ojós (Murcia). The Ricote Valley has been the scene of a meeting between artists, researchers and university professors. Interdisciplinarity has been the predominant note in exhibitions that have been of great interest.

The Congress arises with the idea of ​​encompassing Art, Nature and Landscape, with the aim of making known, promoting and preserving nature, landscape, artistic creation and its dissemination in relation to the natural environment in the Mediterranean. As a meeting point between researchers, artists, thinkers and managers of Natural and Cultural Heritage.

The Congress program will be manifested in disciplines such as painting, sculpture, performance, installation, sound art, Land Art, among others, in addition to its relationship and complementarity with architecture. The Congress will serve as a research element in the aspects involved in a wide field of Art-Nature and Art-Landscape where artistic interventions that contemplate the particularities of the environment, territoriality, landscape and culture will be analyzed.

The Congress is organized into four fundamental areas:

  • KNOW, PROMOTE and PRESERVE NATURE. Through art / projects / actions in the Mediterranean.
  • ART AND NATURE. The use of natural elements in contemporary art, in disciplines such as painting, sculpture, performance, installations, sound art, among others.
  • ART AND LANDSCAPE. The landscape, the artistic creation in relation to the natural and / or human environment in the Mediterranean, in disciplines such as painting, sculpture, performance, installations, sound art, among others
  • SPACES Museums, management, centers for the study, dissemination, and creation of Art-Nature and Art-Landscape, its dissemination and education actions among others.
    The final program consisted of 50 interventions, including plenary presentations, round tables, project presentations and the 33 communications selected by the Scientific Committee, of seventy proposals submitted.

This initiative arises with the objective of making known, promoting and preserving nature, the landscape, artistic creation and its dissemination in relation to the natural environment of the Mediterranean. The Congress was an element of research in the aspects involved in a wide field of Art-Nature and Art-Landscape, where artistic interventions that contemplate the particularities of the environment, territoriality, landscape, museums, education and culture were analyzed.
